Need to Save Money while being Green?
The drop in gas prices saves American families hundreds of dollars each month.  Looking to save even more money?  Begin by reducing your energy consumption.  Drop your thermostat down to 68 degrees and the hot water heater to 120 degrees.  This will save you money while reducing your carbon footprint.  For more money saving green tips go to Green Tips.

Locally
Nearly one third of global greenhouse emissions are related to agricultural activities.  Shipping agricultural products from faraway places consumes large amounts of fuel, thus by you choosing to buy local products, you are in essence reducing your carbon footprint.  Remember, you can make a difference by choosing to drink a local beer, drink filtered water from the tap rather than bottled water and purchase locally grown produce

Interesting statistics that will make you think twice about throwing that old newspaper in the trash!
1. Recycling a 4? stack of news paper saves the equivalent of one 40? fir tree.
2. Every glass bottle recycled saves enough energy to light a 100-watt bulb for four hours.
3. Making cans from recycled aluminum saved 95% of the energy required to produce     cans from virgin material.
4. Americans throw away enough aluminum to rebuild the entire U.S. commercial fleet every three months.
5. 46 Billion – The number of vehicle miles driven by Coloradan’s in 2004, an increase of 69% over 1990.
